After graduating from York University, Alicia attended The Michener Institute of Health Sciences were she received her Post Graduate Diploma in Podiatric Medicine.
During her studies at the Michener Institute, Alicia had the opportunity to complete residencies in the wound care clinic at both Women’s College Hospital in Toronto and St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton. Shortly afterward Alicia attended an Advanced Surgery Seminar at the University of Toronto where she was trained in surgeries, such as regional anaesthesia, neurosis injections, diabetic fat pad augmentation, Morton’s neuroma and hammer toe techniques. She also completed a certificate program as a certified compression stocking fitter. Alicia’s delicate touch enables her to provide Corticoid Steroid Injections, as well as perform Nail and Tendon release surgery.
Alicia is a member of the College of Chiropody, Ontario Society of Chiropodists, the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine and the Prince Edward Island Podiatry Association.
Alicia works side by side with her husband Colin at McQuistan Chiropody in Hamilton where they are both registered Chiropodists. Away from the office Alicia and Colin have three young children and enjoy spending family time together camping and fishing.
